Barker Hedges to step up to the plate

Kudos to Matt Barker of Barker Hedges for stepping up to the plate and volunteering their traffic for a test of whether or not forced registration produces more valid leads. You can read more about this up coming test at http://www.barkerhedges.com/blog/forced-vs-un-forced-registration-on-real-estate-websites.html

I am eargerly awaiting the results of this test.

Having few leads but with a higher quality that leads to higher conversion rate is the ultimate goal.

Making a site so good that people use it because they can't get the features and ease of use on other sites is key.

If you have a very high profile on the web or through intuitive traffic this could be a very viable alternative to FR but I'm not entirely convinced....yet ;)

I am not sure everyone would agree with you there Gary - having great leads that convert well is certainly "one" of the goals - however what about secondary / tertiary leads? Those that are 6-9 months out that other might miss out on because of a lack of follow up system (read automated) and great tracking etc. Me I will take the hot ones RIGHT NOW! But... I will also allow everyone else who is even thinking about buying to register their information so that I can close them when they "become" hot leads.
